A hotel is only the begins
A holiday should be an experience and the territory of Trapani is the ideal place. With its continuous succession of amazing views, natural routes, and a crystal clear sea.
Hotel San Michele is born to be your starting point to explore this wonderful land.
A place where the nature have create lush plants, like the vineyards that produce the typical sicilian wines,or local products like the Red Garlic of Nubia, the olives of Belice or the ancient grain of tumminia. A land surrounded by the sea with beaches and coves. Trapani is also important for the Natural Reserve of Zingaro, San Vito Lo Capo, or the Reserve of Saline of Trapani and Paceco, the lagoon of Marsala’s Stagnone, and the wetlands of Gorghi Tondi. We also include the Egadi’s Marine Reserve , the biggest blue Reserve in Europe.
A history that did not leave just words and stones: we can found it every day, in special way in the Mediterranean flavours that make Trapani’s food and wine an excellence place.
Let's start with what is closer. The Old Town of Trapani is the rapresentation of the stratification of cultures that influenced the area. An uninterrupted sequence of palaces, houses and stones, but also smells and tastes that create the history of the city.
Too much to tell at once. The photographer Anatole Klapouch tried, with some success, to create a Hyperlapse video that tells, in 90 seconds, the most fascinating views of the Old Town of Trapani.
But history does not end here, from the Petroglyphs of Levanzo to the ruins of the Egadi’s Battle, through Mothia, Segesta and Selinunte, there are something more to discover. The history has left in Trapani its traces. The Arab domination left us a unique urban architecture, from the Normans and Spanish domination now we have ramparts and castles, and the recent centuries have left enchanting palaces in Liberty Style. But there are also the Renaissance places, from Salemi, Italy's first capital, to Marsala, important place for Garibaldi and "I Mille".
Near our hotel, there is another unique place: the Trapani and Paceco’s Saline. A natural reserve that represents the perfect union of man and nature. The ancient salt evaporation ponds are the main character of a daily work for the extraction of one of the most renowned sea salt in the world. A work that has remained unchanged over the centuries. This important natural reserve give us an unique shows and offering refuge to dozens of bird species, including the fascinating Greater Flamingo, which use the protected area of Saline as a stop of their migration routes.
Nature has been generous with Trapani’s sea.
The uncontaminated and clear sea, the amazing landscapes, and the gastronomy make this city a dream location.

Cala Mancina village - S. Vito lo Capo
San Vito lo Capo has one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily and it has been home to the famous Cous Cous Fest for many years now. It is really a special place offering the authentic flavours of the sea, from the white sandy beach, the Zingaro Nature Reserve characterised by beaches made of gravel, to the rocky walls of Makari, which houses international climbing events. If you really want to live this area at its best you have to visit our village.
Cala La Luna village - Favignana
The pearl of the Egadi islands, a gem set in a pristine sea. It is home to the largest marine reserve in Europe. A cozy island, which is the destination of VIPs and not only, able to offer sensations that go beyond the enchanting natural setting. The Egadi islands are a place rich in history, culture and traditions which cover millennia: from the rock inscriptions in Levanzo, the remains of the Battle of the Egadi islands (during the Punic Wars) to the myths of tuna fishing. And the Villaggio Cala La Luna is the best way to live all these experiences.
Cala del Porto village - Marettimo
For those who love the sour perfumes of nature will be impossible not to fall in love with the island of Marettimo. A paradise for trekking, it offers visitors a unique spectacle in which a lush green vegetation matches the deep blue colour of its waters. But it offers much more those visiting its coasts (some of which reachable only by sea) and exploring its inlets and caves where rocks, waters and light appear to play together, creating enchanting designs. And all of this can be experienced, with the comfort of your own home, at the Residence Cala del Port.
La Pineta Park Hotel - Erice
For many people it is the “mythic mountain”. Erice, over the centuries, has been a safe harbour for those who sailed in the Mediterranean Sea. From the Phoenicians and the Romans (who dedicated a sanctuary, well known among the Mediterranean peoples, to the goddess Venus), to the Middle Ages which have given us this charming medieval hamlet, the Balio (a beautiful public garden) with its castle or the “torretta Pepoli (Pepoli turret)”, now an international symbol of peace. But the real charm of Erice consists in being suspended between sky and sea and our Hotel is located exactly at that point, between the green of the mountain and the blue of the sea.
