The hotel is only the beginning
A holiday must be first and foremost an experience and the territory of the province of Trapani is the ideal place for this with its continuous succession of enchanting views, unspoiled natural paths, lush coasts and crystal clear waters.
Hotel San Michele was created to be your starting point for exploring this multi-faceted land.
A province where nature has created lush plants, such as vineyards that produce Sicilian wines or local treasures such as the Red Garlic of Nubia, Belice olives, or the ancient tumminia grain. A land surrounded by the sea and dotted with beaches and coves that will allow you to experience all the magic of the Trapani coast. Trapani is home to important nature reserves such as the famous Zingaro Reserve in San Vito Lo Capo, or the Salt Pan Reserve of Trapani and Paceco, the Stagnone di Marsala lagoon, the wetlands of the Gorghi Tondi. Not to mention the Marine Reserve of the Egadi Islands, the largest "blue" reserve in Europe.
The San Michele blog
A history that has not simply left words and stones: the history is found every day also in the Mediterranean flavours that make Trapani food and wine a point of excellence.
Let's start from what is closest to us. The historic centre of Trapani is the plastic transposition of the stratification of cultures that have influenced the territory. An uninterrupted sequence of small glimpses, noble buildings, houses and stones, but also looks, smells and flavours that form the story of a city.
There is too much to tell all at once. The photographer Anatole Klapouch has tried quite succesfully by making a video in Hyperlapse that shows the most fascinating corners of the historic Trapani town centre in 90 seconds.
And then there is the history, from the rock graffiti in Levanzo to the remains of the Battle of the Egadi, passing through Mothia, Segesta and Selinunte. Trapani's journey in history has left clear traces. The Arabs have left a unique urbanistic architecture, from the Normans and Spaniards we have inherited ramparts and castles and the more recent centuries have left enchanting buildings which date up to a particular interpretation of Art Nouveau style. But there are also the buildings of the Renaissance age, from Salemi, the first capital of Italy, to Marsala, the fulcrum of Garibaldi’s thousand.
Just a few steps away from our hotel, there is another unique glimpse: the salt pans of Trapani and Paceco. A nature reserve that represents the perfect synthesis between man's work and nature. The ancient pools are the scene of a daily work that leads to the extraction of one of the most renowned marine salts in the world. The work has remained almost unchanged over the centuries. It is carried out with respect for the environment which reciprocates by giving us unique scenery and by offering shelter to dozens of bird species, including the fascinating Pink Flamingo, which use the protected saltpans as a stopover during their migratory routes.
Nature has been generous, with the sea of Trapani.
An incontaminated blue combining daily with the lush coastline.

A range of possibilities for your holidays with a unique common element: the trustworthy and the quality of Multierice services. Come and discover our structures, which were created with special attention for details and situated in beautiful places all over the territory of Trapani.
Cala Mancina village - S. Vito lo Capo
San Vito lo Capo has one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily and it has been home to the famous Cous Cous Fest for many years now. It is really a special place offering the authentic flavours of the sea, from the white sandy beach, the Zingaro Nature Reserve characterised by beaches made of gravel, to the rocky walls of Makari, which houses international climbing events. If you really want to live this area at its best you have to visit our village.
Cala La Luna village - Favignana
The pearl of the Egadi islands, a gem set in a pristine sea. It is home to the largest marine reserve in Europe. A cozy island, which is the destination of VIPs and not only, able to offer sensations that go beyond the enchanting natural setting. The Egadi islands are a place rich in history, culture and traditions which cover millennia: from the rock inscriptions in Levanzo, the remains of the Battle of the Egadi islands (during the Punic Wars) to the myths of tuna fishing. And the Villaggio Cala La Luna is the best way to live all these experiences.
Cala del Porto village - Marettimo
For those who love the sour perfumes of nature will be impossible not to fall in love with the island of Marettimo. A paradise for trekking, it offers visitors a unique spectacle in which a lush green vegetation matches the deep blue colour of its waters. But it offers much more those visiting its coasts (some of which reachable only by sea) and exploring its inlets and caves where rocks, waters and light appear to play together, creating enchanting designs. And all of this can be experienced, with the comfort of your own home, at the Residence Cala del Port.
La Pineta Park Hotel - Erice
For many people it is the “mythic mountain”. Erice, over the centuries, has been a safe harbour for those who sailed in the Mediterranean Sea. From the Phoenicians and the Romans (who dedicated a sanctuary, well known among the Mediterranean peoples, to the goddess Venus), to the Middle Ages which have given us this charming medieval hamlet, the Balio (a beautiful public garden) with its castle or the “torretta Pepoli (Pepoli turret)”, now an international symbol of peace. But the real charm of Erice consists in being suspended between sky and sea and our Hotel is located exactly at that point, between the green of the mountain and the blue of the sea.
